What people are saying about the STILL Method

________ found the workshop very valuable and essential in helping develop tools for coping with her anxiety. I know she uses the techniques regularly to help her. She was sad when it ended as it provided great support.

“From our point of view we thought it was an amazing opportunity for The Still Method anxiety course to be offered to the children who would be attending in September, and that the school have recognised how important children's mental health is for their wellbeing and education. ______ showed us quite a few techniques she has learnt and we hope as she gets older and moves through secondary school she can learn to put some of these into practice to lower anxiety. I have noticed a change in her resilience and ability to articulate her feelings. She has slowly become less resistant to attending too.”

“I think ______ has gained a lot of new techniques whilst attending the Still Method workshops. It has also enabled her to listen to how her peers are feeling and explore different situations that others find challenging. This has supported her feeling more connected with her peers, which she finds challenging.”

"Did the online course today, totally captivated a very engaging session with some straight talk and very useful strategies and well executed delivery. I have done other types of therapy and all of these have some merit (its how you apply these concepts with the children you work with) However, this mornings STILL session has captured my enthusiasm just that little bit more.......this is defo something to explore further. Highly recommend"

"Yes, I thought I was too old, but you are never too old. I learned I can change my negative thoughts into positive ones, talk things through, not let my temper get the better of me and not to look at things in black and white."

"Just finished watching the recorded version of your workshop and wanted to say thanks for all the advice. Feel more confident in helping my daughter through her anxiety and with the children I work with in an SEN school. Actually used some of the practices last night when my daughter fell over in the garden, used the tapping method and worked brilliantly."

"I attended today's zoom session with Stuart and cannot express how helpful and insightful it was. I have left with ideas, a plan and optimism. If anybody has a child who suffers with anxiety, I cannot recommend Stuart's online course enough. My sons anxiety has heightened during lockdown but whereas before the course, I was starting to feel overwhelmed myself with trying to guide him through it, I feel I have been given the tools to reassure him (and myself) and am looking forward to putting a plan into action."

"I just attended an anxiety workshop for children and teenagers, WOW! It was fantastic, such great techniques. Stuart is so friendly and makes you feel comfortable to ask ANY questions. I would recommend this course to everyone working with children or even for use with your own."

"______ has greatly benefited from this course, she is a lot more calm and steady and thinks things through logically. She opens up a lot more to me at home and we do "talk". She loves the more intimate chats with her friends and you, to express how she feels. She has worked at friendship groups, and I think the group lends support and an ear to one an another. This is an essential course and will help as the students get older to cope with the pressure of exams and growing up in general. I thank you for your hard work and attention to the students."

"Since beginning to attend the Still Workshops, I have noticed a change in my daughters resilience and ability to articulate her feelings. During The Still course I managed to have a conversation with her where she articulated her demand avoidance which stemmed from the need to complete the booklet. It was the first time for her to acknowledge this difficulty and to cry about it. I was also able to understand why we sometimes get her to do things like this when she doesn't want to because its hard to see what is demand avoidance and what isn't. Also that things are important and not everything can be avoided."
